Are these like bumper
stickers? No - our 3D reflective address numbers are a patented
item that is thick (1/8" for 4", 5" and 6"house address numbers, and 1/16"
for 2" and 3" mailbox address letters & numbers and 1" and 2" craft sheets) like plastic or wood
house numbers. They are a slightly flexilbe reflective PVC peel and stick with an agressive
adhesive, but peel and stick is the only similarity they have
to bumper stickers. We do not recommend the 1" craft sheets for exterior usage. NOTE: all digits are die cut to shape, not printed on a square plaque.
Do they glow at night?
No - they don't glow at night, they are their normal
black or gold until a light, such as an emergency vehicle
light, is directed toward them. When light is directed
at them, they reflect it just like stop signs and other
safety signs on the highway. White reflects best, followed by gold, with black being the least reflective.
How are they different
from plastic reflective address numbers in stores?
The typical reflective sign in stores is white with
a small black border so it is not very visible during
the day, or at night unless a light is shining on it.
Our thick, reflective address numbers are black, white, or gold so they
are visible during the day and at night with a light shining on them. Again, reflective materials reflect light back toward the source, say a flashlight or car light. Just putting a light sconce near them doesn't make them reflect light.
What does Fancy and Bold mean? Bold (sans serif) means there are
no fancy balls or other extensions on the numbers, the
number style is very simple as you will see from the
samples. Fancy (serif) means there are fancy elements to the
typestyle. Click on a Bold or Fancy page to see
actual samples.
